Jessica Rubio, MSW, SWC
Growing up as a first-generation Latina, I understand how our cultural values and traditions can shape who we are and impact the way we navigate through life. My passion for mental health started when my mom was diagnosed with depression and anxiety. Shortly after, I realized the stigma that revolved around mental health and the lack of mental health education among the Latino community. As a bilingual therapist it is my mission to support the community I grew up in, validate your experiences, and support you along your healing journey.

I obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Human Development from California State University of San Marcos in 2017. After completing my B.A., I worked in several different settings that revolved around children from suicide prevention to after school enrichment programs. In 2019, I moved to CO from CA and pursued my Master’s in Social Work. I graduated May 2022 from Metropolitan State University of Denver. Throughout my grad school career, I had the opportunity to work in equine therapy and at a behavioral health hospital with high-risk adults (IOP/PHP). After graduating, I joined Denver Health where I engaged with a diverse population and interacted with families during high crisis situations. All these experiences led me to Blue Channel Therapy, I am excited to be part of this team and build a connection with individuals in a therapeutic setting using EMDR. I am EMDR trained. I look forward to being part of your journey.

This therapist conducts sessions exclusively in English and Spanish.
