Ben Vogrin (they/them) graduated with a BA in psychology from the University of Colorado - Boulder and is a current student at Metropolitan State University of Denver obtaining their Master of Social Work with a concentration on mental health. Ben has worked with youth and adults in inpatient mental health facilities as well as on-site with youth experiencing homelessness. Ben has also worked with people experiencing food insecurity and worked to improve the quality of services provided to students and community.
Ben uses a systems-based, trauma-informed perspective in therapy to facilitate healing, insight, and growth. They believe that their understanding of a person’s environment allows them to understand the unique context of every person they meet. Ben is trained in EMDR. Ben also understands the privilege and responsibility that comes with their role in helping people through the healing journey and is always actively learning to improve in their skills and knowledge.
On their free time, Ben enjoys taking in the wonders of nature through visiting America’s National Parks, hiking, photography, and wildlife watching.
